Eligibility Criteria
• The candidates appearing for the exam must hold a domicile of the Assam state
• The candidates must have passed class 12th or other qualifying examination with an aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, English, Biology/Maths. For reserved category candidates the percentage criteria is 45%.
• The candidate applying for the exam must be 17 to 21 years of age as on August 1, 2015. The relaxation up to 3 years in upper age limit is provided to reserved category candidates.
Reservation
OBC - 15%, Scheduled Tribes (Plains) - 10%, Scheduled Castes - 7%, Scheduled Tribes (Hills) - 5%, Physically Challenged - 3%. Some seats will be reserved for candidates of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, Manipur.
Note: To claim these seats candidates will have to produce certificate of category. Document should be authentic.
